The missed out grade portal

Hours after Digest Press reported that some 200-level students who sat for the General Studies 213 (GST 213) noticed alterations in their portal, the problem has now been rectified.

Recalled that yesterday, on the 26th of January, 2025, Digest Press published a report, titled, "UDUS Students Raise Concern Over Alleged Results Alteration" drawing the attention of the General Studies Division management to the issues the students are facing on their GST Portal.

The situation, as our reporter gathered, came as a shock for students like Abdulsamad, who became worried that his GST result was changed from B to C.

Abdulsamad expressed his relief as his result has now been restored. "My CGPA has returned to what it was before. The relief is huge because it was affecting my state of mind," he said.

Relief, Comfort

For others, the resolution marked the end of a tense period filled with fear over academic classification and future prospects. Asiat, who had earlier described the issue as widespread, said the outcome had restored confidence, though questions remain.

“Most of the affected students I know have seen corrections on their various portals. We're relieved, but we hope the university improves networking and communication so issues like this don't happen again," she said.

Rahman, whose CGPA had dropped from second class upper to second class lower following the alleged changes, confirmed that his grades have been corrected and his academic standing reinstated.

"My CGPA has been restored. It was a very disturbing experience, but I am glad the issue was finally resolved," he said.

Bashit also spoke on the impact of the system error, which affected him and several of his colleagues.

"It came unexpectedly and was very shocking. But, everything is now in order. I hope such incidents do not happen again, because these recent happenings affected my mental balance." he said.
